Late January saw the closure of the Texastar Kitchen drive through on 620 as part of the clearing of the way for the new HEB complex there.

From their Facebook group:

"Dear Friends,

We have been honored to serve the Lakeway community for the past 13 years. At this time we have chosen to relocate Texastar Kitchen to make way for the new Lakeway Town Center. The last time we will serve at 1602 Ranch Road 620 South is Friday, January 24th, for lunch. Over the years we have been privileged to forge many friendships with you. Your loyalty, patience, and kindness have been the highlight of my 42 year restaurant career. We thank you all for your patronage. My wife and I will be reviewing our options concerning the future of Texastar over the next few months. We wish you the very best in 2014. As a token of our appreciation we will be offering our food complimentary to each person who visits us on our final day until our pantry is empty.
