Construction started last week on the new Apis Restaurant and Apiary at the intersection of Highway 71 and Pace Bend Road. Expected to open later this year, Chef Taylor Hall's new place is starting to attract attention.
From the web site: "Slated to open in late 2014, Chef Taylor Hall's Apis Restaurant and Apiary will offer elegantly approachable Hill-Country gourmet cuisine in a rustic, yet refined atmosphere. Apis Restaurant is named for and inspired by the honeybee. The six-acre property on Highway 71 and the Pedernales River will feature gardens to supply the restaurant and sustain 20 bee hives that will produce our "house honey." Apis aims to offer Hill Country residents and visitors an unique and exquisite dining experience, gracefully refined for special occasions, yet relaxed enough to become your regular culinary sanctuary."
