Lexus dealership for Lakeway

In contrast to the Covert situation in Bee Cave, the City of Lakeway is working with Lexus of Austin on a major facility at Clara Van Trail and RR 620.

More details from the City;

"The  Customer Convenience Operation will be developed on approximately 20 acres of a 39-acre plot.

Future plans for the remainder of the tract include locations for high-end restaurants and other retail development. A new traffic signal is already planned for the RR 620-Clara Van intersection.

Lexus of Lakeway is planned to be a full-service facility offering the same distinctive sales and service experience that customers have come to expect from Lexus.

With more than 5,000 current customers in the Lakeway area, Lexus recognized the need to improve safety, help reduce travel time for guests and offer a convenient, centralized point of access where its top-rated services could be provided.

“The Lakeway community has long been a loyal supporter of Lexus of Austin, and we are pleased to show our appreciation by bringing our world class services to their neighborhood,” said Vicki Howard, dealer principal at Lexus of Austin, in a press release.

“Our goal is to offer our guests the time-saving convenience of a local destination, complete with the amenities of the Lexus ownership experience. This includes our luxury retail boutique featuring gifts and home décor, along with our full-service barista bar.”

According to Lexus, the project’s appearance, described as a resort-like facility, was created to be site specific, with an emphasis on tree preservation and was heavily influenced by the topography of the land.

The location will be constructed generally in compliance with City of Lakeway building codes and standards.

Lexus has given Howard the approval to amend current company design guidelines in an effort to create a space that complements the existing landscape. Inspired by the location, guests can expect winding, wooded drives, and natural stone exterior.
Lakeway Mayor Dave DeOme is enthused about what this new location will bring to the community.

“I am excited about the possibility of the Customer Convenience Operation coming to the Lakeway area; not only because I see it as a need for our residents, but also there is the opportunity of generating additional employment and sales tax revenues to the city, which will be very welcomed,” DeOme said.

Many Lakeway locals will recognize a hometown “celebrity” who will be joining the Lexus of Lakeway team. Steve Witt, known as a certain holiday icon, operated the Exxon station on Lakeway Boulevard for 24 years. He is a service consultant at Lexus of Austin and will be transferring to the Lakeway location once the facility is operational. Witt has been instrumental in the development of the CCO point, providing insight from his years of residing in the Lakeway community with this wife, Cathie, and owning his own business in the area."
