Although we do not have confirmation from City Hall, it appears likely Council will name a new member to fill Kline's seat until a special election can be held in May 2014. His resignation came just a week too late to trigger a special election in November of this year. Bill Goodwin (experienced council member with fourth largest number of votes in May '13, now PUA Board Member) is the probable front runner for nomination.

The BeeCaveBee on Facebook group has been mentioning a man sitting out on the verge of Highway 71 this week - near the Bus Barn, at the entrance to Serene Hills and other locations. Questions are being raised as to whether this is some kind of traffic count and if it's connected to the Covert development.
