This year’s Sales Tax Holiday is Aug. 11 - 13. As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced less than $100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers about $8 on every $100 they spend.

After numeous negative pubic comments at the recent Travis County Commisioner's Court it looks highly unlikely that the road connecting 71 West and Hamilton Pool Road will make the cut for bond funding. The road - vigorously supported by Gerald Dougherty on the Court is slated to cost around $8MM.
