The Backyard Symphony Pops Orchestra, in keeping with Austin "weirdness" is a hyper-breed of musicianship produced by a powerful blend of Austin’s finest classical, theatrical and studio musicians such as Mitch Watkins, Haydn Vitera, Leah Zeger, Javier Chaparro, Robert “Beto” Skiles and members of the Tosca Strings.
"This is an historic event for us and I believe The Backyard Pops Symphony concerts will be a profound classic for years to come," said Tim O'Connor, Backyard owner.
Orchestra contractor Michael Mordecai says...
"the musicians in the orchestra are comprised from the cream of the crop of the classical cats, players plucked from the pits of the Paramount and other top theaters, and stars stolen from the stages of Austin bars."
