This week saw the LTISD Board review and vote on the new 2016-17 budget.

 

 

The budget is up about $2 million at $112.9MM with 9,655 students. There is no plan to increase the tax rate as the area taxable property value has gone up almost 10% this year.

 

It is anticipated that LTISD will contribut $41.1MM to the "Robin Hood" system to help fund districts with lower incomes.

 

There is a planned 2% increase for all staff included in the budget.
