Long serving City Manager Travis Askey has announced his intention to step down once a successor is recruited and hired and following a smooth transition.

 

 

Askey's resignation comes as the new Mayor of Bee Cave, Monty Parker, takes office. Both Parker and his predecessor, Caroline Murphy, had high praise for the way Askey did his job.

 

Recent criticisim of the City Hall staff had surrounded the passge and process of certain ordinances in the last few months, however.
