At a Special Meeting on Saturday evening (the 28th) major changes to the Council's make up took place. A recent gathering storm between the incoming Mayor Kara King and acting Mayor and long serving council member Bill Goodwin finally blew up.

Sources inside City Hall tell us that there is a major dispute going on over the Council meeting due tomorrow night, March 24th.

Over a hundred local residents attended a TxDOT meeting to explain and take input on the proposed 620 widening and median work.

The picture above shows the plan from 71 to Hudson Bend - the key section for Lakeway and Bee Cave residents.

The Hill Country Living FESTIVAL + Rainwater Revival returns to the Dripping Spring Ranch Park on Saturday, April 4, from 10am to 5pm.

LTISD and their consultants and advisors have set up a public Google Doc system with four questions for public input on the search for Dr Lancater's replacement. It is open through March 6th.

It appears the May election for Mayor and two seats on City Council will not take place. Kara King stood unopposed for Mayor and Bill Goodwin and John Cobb stood unopposed for the two seats on Council. They are all effectively elected and the election will be cancelled.

At the end of their January 28th meeting Travis County had cancelled the Bond to fund the new bridge at the entry to the Homestead in Bee Cave. Bee Cave has now annexed the strip of land involved and will be taking over the costs of building the new bridge - designed to keep the single access road open during floods.
