The Bee Cave Bee

LTISD has purchased four lots of land and accepted donations of two other parcels in preparation for future school district growth. The money came from the 2006 bond.

Purchased land:

• Future elementary school site - Reimer's Peacock Road - west on 71
• Future middle school - Rough Hollow
• Future middle school - Reimer's Peacock Road - west on 71
• Future high school - Sweetwater Ranch

Donated land:

• Future elementary school - Rough Hollow
• Future elementary school - Pedernales Summit Parkway

All of these schools are in the West 71 corridor of the school district in line with the 2,000 to 5,000 homes slated for that area in the next 5-10 years. Land purchase represents only a tiny fraction of the cost of opening a new school and estimates for building all five schools are in the $200-500 million range.
