Projecting enrollment growth to over 13,000 students, demographers Population and Survey Analysts are talking about two more schools in LTISD within 7 years. Bee Cave Elementary and the new Middle School will be all but swamped by that time - prompting the need for seventh elementary and a third middle school. Typically schools cost $30-50 million. The key question is the relative flow of empty nesters and families into and out of the area.

All along while BCave has gone from a quiet community on the way to the area lakes, to the growth Xplosion it is/has been in, my opinion and my 'pet peeve' is the Developers of new subdivisions should be expected/required to furnish ALL services of said subdivision, ie, electricity, gas/propane, sewage, road/road maintenance AND schools for their said newly to be developed subdivisions. Schools should be in the Deveolper 'plans' submitted to the 'Powers to Be' for building a subdivision, just like water use. If a Developer has the plans for multiple housing of all types, commercial bldg. plans and/or all of subdivision development plans, they should also be responsible for all the Families they will be bringing into the Bee Cave communities/schools. Why should all of us taxpayers be required to build schools in new subdivisions while the Realtor/Developer/Lawyers get the many millions of dollars the land was sold/bought with? All those millions just go into their 'pockets', not ours. Just my 'pet peeve' of why a retired person on a fixed income and/or young, working couple with Children should have to pay for another subdivision's schools? If you have not noticed, subdivisions are opening up/popping up each day (or in the 'works) ~ ~ ~

I'm curious if anyone has done an analysis of whether there will be sufficient water supply for this "full build out" plan, the numbers are staggering. And, I totally agree with the previous comments - all new development should pay for itself. Absolutey.
