Former Superintendent Kirk returning to Plainview?

A year and a half ago, LTISD Superintendent "Rocky" Kirk suddenly resigned for "personal reasons" in the middle of the run up to a massive $150MM plus bond issue. Rumor and innuendo surrounded his departure - including hints of an "inappropriate" relationship with a member of staff.
His $250,000 a year contract was severed with $77,000 in compensation and a non disclosure agreement.
He is now the recommended finalist for a similar position in his old home town of Plainview, Texas and will assume the position pending the statutory 21 day waiting period.
