Art frame firm raising $s

From thier Press release, Bee Cave based Wexel Art, one of the leading designers of floating frames, is proud to announce they have reached 40% of their total goal with 21 days still left to go. They recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to expand their custom design division and their crowdfunding momentum is building fast.

Their original frame that put them on the map features pairs of magnets that hold artwork behind acrylic - to change out photos in seconds, without having to take anything apart.  Photographers, designers and artists started requesting custom frames made especially for them. In 2014, Wexel Art launched the Custom Design Division where they are able to make any shape or size - on demand.  And with it, the popularity of the Double-Panel Frames, which sandwich the art between two panels of acrylic, and Wallscapes with pops of color accents took off!

Wexel Art has now maxxed out their production capabilities and orders are backlogged, taking weeks to produce. As a result, they have rolled up their sleeves and embarked on a Kickstarter campaign that will raise enough money through crowdfunding to move these operations in-house.  This will decrease wait time and enable faster roll-out of inspiring new products. “The designers we work with have so many amazing projects and ideas. We need to have the turnkey ability to bring it to life within the given budget and timeline,” said Morgan Doherty, co-owner of Wexel Art.

While the core Wexel Art product line is available at over 400 retailers nationwide, the Kickstarter campaign features exclusive products that cannot be purchased anywhere else, including the debut of gorgeous color backed frames. “My energy is fueled by the creative process. Being able to turn designs into reality is why we are in this business,” said Natasha McRee, co-owner of Wexel Art.
