Chew Chew BBQ, a new food trailer serving up slow-smoked BBQ meats, homemade sides and desserts is now open for business at the South Side Eatery located on the Lakeway/Bee Cave city line.

 

Co-owners Samuel Corbett and Jamison Toomey join three other food trucks already situated at the location. Chew Chew BBQ offers onsite window service, door-to-door delivery and catering for events such as weddings, company outings or family reunions.

 

The fare at Chew Chew BBQ consists of a variety of slow-smoked meats including brisket, pork ribs, sausage, ham, turkey and chicken. Potato salad, sweet slaw, BBQ beans and BBQ stuffed potato along with banana pudding and peach cobbler round out the menu. Customers can tailor their dining experience with choices such as family packs, a-la-carte meats or at-home delivery.

 

Co-owner and head chef, Sam Corbett, has owned several eating establishments in the Austin area over the past few decades and considers himself a seasoned Texas BBQ connoisseur. “I have been cooking BBQ for as long as I can remember and I firmly believe that patience and a good rub are the key ingredients for great BBQ.” says Corbett. “Jamison and I are both very passionate about this business.”

 

Co-owner, Jamison Toomey, believes Chew Chew BBQ will be a good fit for the community. “We will be doing something a little differently than the others by providing delivery to homes and businesses in the surrounding area. We’ve got something to satisfy every BBQ lover.”

 

Chew Chew BBQ officially opened its window on June 20. The trailer is open every Tuesday through Saturday between the hours of 11:00 am and 7:30 pm and on Sunday from 11:00 am through 4:00 pm.
