Lakeway’s new Boutique Bakery

A new Boutique Bakery called "Sweet" officially opens its doors April 1st on 620 at Lohman's Crossing and claims to be offering a rotating selection of small batch treats including cupcakes, pops, cookies and vintage cakes.

The Press Release goes on to say:

“From years as a professional event planner and a fulltime mother of three, I know the value of satisfying a sweet tooth,” Heather McClure, founder of Sweet, said.
Heather’s passion for food started at a young age. Before she could reach the stove, her grandmother taught her to make her favorite sweet treats with the added height of a chair. Her mother owned a home-based baking business, and Heather was a fixture in her kitchen helping and learning during her entire youth. She even read cookbooks like novels when other kids were reading Nancy Drew. In school, Heather studied fine art. Before starting her own business, Heather spent many years as a professional event planner for the Four Seasons Hotel. Her company, Sweet, has been a perfect outlet to marry her passion for food, artistic expression and business acumen. Through her creations, she routinely enhances birthdays, holidays, weddings, and other special occasions.

Sweet is the perfect spot to enjoy a chat with a friend over a cup of coffee, host your child’s birthday soiree, or expand your horizons with a cookie decorating class.
Sweet’s grand opening celebration will be Friday, April 4th.

The Lakeway Chamber of Commerce’s ribbon cutting ceremony is from noon to 1pm. For the kids, there will be a face painter and balloons from 4pm to 7pm. Complimentary cake and coffee served all day until 9pm. For more information visit www.sweetatx.com
