There are thirty teams from all over Texas from public and private schools who have been invited to compete at state level after the regional events.  Each team has to cover at least 23 out of 28 events, the events are all science based and range from build events like constructing bridges that are designed to carry heavy loads to completing written exams created by nationally recognized universities. The contest is offered yearly to Middle and high-schoolers. Bryan and Eli, both 10 years old, decided to compete at the middle school level when they discovered that there was no elementary school level competition.
