At a recent meeting between Bee Cave Mayor Monty Parker, local Congressman Roger Williams and LTISD member Bob Dorsett, the subject of school safety was raised.

Dorsett stated on social media - “School safety at the federal level! I was happy to be a part of a small group meeting this Monday with US Congressman Roger Williams and Bee Cave Mayor, Monty Parker, among others. Of note, Congressman Williams is pressing H.R. 5107 which, if passed, will provide funding for schools to enhance security. The fund would be managed through the Department of Education and could be used to assist schools in installing bulletproof glass, stronger doors, video, reductions in points of ingress and egress, etc. I am grateful for the work Congressman Williams is doing for us in Washington."
