Lakeway Elementary fifth student Brodie Copeland and his father Sean were two of the three American fatalities in the truck attack in Nice, France last week.

 

 

Tributes were paid by the School Superintendent, his class teacher and others. A memorial serice at Lake Hills Church was attended by well over 100 people.

 

National TV and news crews were in the area intervewing school staff and family friends, as the area mourned the loss of two of their own. Fundraising to help the family also started up, including a GoFundMe campaign which has raised almost $90,000.
