Spicewood Arts Sciety 2016-7 Schedule

The Spicewood Arts Society’s newly released 2016-2017 schedule features a concert schedule appealing to fans of all musical genres, from rockabilly to jazz; the Arts RoundUp, fall’s annual highlight; and a special performance by Suzy Bogguss next spring.

“We have an impressive group of artists performing for next season, many of them new to SAS. We welcome these performers, and our new and returning ticket holders, to our seventeenth season,” said Spicewood Arts Society president Debbie Starnes.

Included in the season ticket price of $125:

The Derailers, September 30, mainstays at the Broken Spoke, mixing classic country with a ‘60’s pop sensibility;

Linda Gail Lewis, December 9, singer/pianist and sister of Jerry Lee Lewis, bringing her special brand of rockabilly;

Bill Kirchen, March 3, 2017, Grammy nominated guitarist, singer, and songwriter;

“A Toast to Tony,” the annual tribute to Tony Campise, May 5, 2017, which this season includes more than ten big name performers.

All shows begin at 7 p.m. at the Spicewood Vineyards Event Center, 1419 Co. Rd. 409, Spicewood, TX. Tickets include light refreshments at intermission.

The thirteenth annual Arts Round-up will be held October 29 and 30, featuring the creations of local and regional artists and top local bands at the LaCabana Grill, 21103 Highway 71, Spicewood.

“Rockin’ the Vineyard,” the annual scholarship fundraiser featuring Austin’s own Suede, will take place Feb. 18, 2017, at Spicewood Vineyards, beginning at 6 p.m.

Academy of Country Music Award Winner Suzy Bogguss, with one platinum and three gold albums, will perform April 17, 2017. This is a special performance and not included in season tickets.

Purchase tickets through the Spicewood Art’s Society website, www.spicewoodarts.org. Information will be coming soon on the popular Art Treks to various galleries and museums in the region, and the equally popular Salon Series, featuring intimate performances of classical and acoustic music and the spoken word.
