Today, March 29th, 2016, a bank robbery was reported through Lakeway dispatch at 10:41 a.m. at the Regions Lake Pointe Bank located at 11500 Bee Caves Road. 

Officers arrived on the scene at 10:46 a.m. and the lone suspect had fled the bank on foot in an easterly direction prior to the Officer’s arrival and it is unknown what type of vehicle the suspect fled in.  The teller advised the suspect was a female, wearing a beard and men’s clothing in an apparent attempt to look like a male. 

The suspect handed the teller a note indicating she was armed and demanded money.  The teller turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank.   No one was injured in the robbery.  The Bee Cave Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Austin Field Office are working the robbery.  Persons with information are encouraged to call the Bee Cave Police Department at 512-767-6650 or the F.B.I.
