According to several local media sources and Travis County Court records, the companies behind the Hill Country Golf and Guitar complex on Highway 71 have been hit with liens filed for unpaid construction work totalling over $700,000.

The liens come from their general contractor Balfour Beatty and nine sub scontractors who are owed money indirectly. Owner Rich Phillips is quoted as stating that the work is not fully completed, which the contractors deny.
