Two updates suggest the years of road works on 71 may be heading to a conclusion;

First, the Serene Hills lights are now operational.

Second, tarmac laying equipment has been sighted on 71 which may signal the closing phase of the massive road widening project that has seen almost two years of traffic disruption. TXDot had said the work would be complete by summer 2015.
