Both Lakeway and Dripping Springs are reporting a spate of wheel and rim thefts at night time from driveways. Rocky Creek saw at least four vehicles lose their wheels early on Friday Feb 6.

This from the City of Lakeway: "Over the course of several months, the Lakeway Police Department has responded to and investigated multiple reports of tire and rim thefts in the city

in these incidents, the suspects steal all four of the vehicle’s tires or wheels and leave the vehicle on concrete blocks or landscape stones. The thefts appear to have taken place between 10 p.m. and the early morning

Police believe the suspects are targeting full-size GM sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks with 20- to 22-inch factory rims."
