Election day Saturday May 10th - early voting at half of 2013 level as predicted

Saturday May 10th is election day in the City of Bee Cave and for the LTISD Board. Voting is at City Hall and any Travis County location (LINK to list) from 7 to 7.

Early votes in the City Council election totaled 369 versus 666 last year when the Covert issue was raging. Falconhead West votes are down by 60+%. Almost exactly as we predicted based on the attendance at the Candidate Forum two weeks ago.

City candidates are outlined below...

Mayor Caroline Murphy will be returned unopposed.

Two candidates are standing to fill the single unexpired one-year term of Paul Kline. One will be elected:
John Colman, resident of The Homestead
Marie Lowman, P&Z member, resident of The Uplands - moving to The Homestead

There are three candidates for the two “normal” 2 year seats left vacant by Zelda Auslander and Steve Braasch stepping down:
Bill Goodwin, current council member and resident of The Homestead
Tom Matzen, resident of Falconhead West
Carrell Killebrew, resident of The Homestead
