At around lunchtime on Thursday December 5th, a four car accident closed both Eastbound lanes and one Westbound on Highway 71 near Nitro. For some time traffic was not allowed to leave Falconhead West's Vail Divide exit and was diverted through Falconhead to 620.

Further information came in last night - two of the four vehicles were construction trucks headed into Masonwood/Bella Colinas. Three injuries, lots of debris on eastbound lanes.
