A new hazardous waste disposal facility, said to be a cost effective replacement for the annual events, will open near the Fire Station on General Williamson Drive.

Bee Cave City partially owns the facility along with WCID No. 17, the City of Lakeway, the Lakeway MUD, the Hurst Creek MUD and the City of the Hills. WCID #17 and its manager Debbie Gernes will manage the facility.
