Bee Cave child injured by bullet and flame

On Tuesday the 13th August, officers from Bee Cave Police Department responded to a residence within the city limits where a nine-year-old boy held a .223 ammunition round to a lit candle.

The round exploded and shrapnel from the explosion flew towards the boys chest. The boy was Star flighted and is in stable condition at this time.

There is no foul play suspected, and the BCPD have no reason to believe the round was obtained at his residence.
