This week's City Council meeting saw the beginning of a process to allocate Hotel Tax money.

To quote Councilman Monty parker's Facebook posts:

"Council was in agreement that the City should begin accepting applications for funding projects from the Hotel Tax Fund that are allowed by State law. Staff will create the policies and the application process and City Council will initially act as the HOT Fund Committee in order to develop a feel for the process and provide guidance and feedback to a possible citizen’s committee that may be created at later date. The motion was approved unanimously to move forward."
