Travis County has OK'd the first stage approval of a 2,000 acre, 3,000+ home development on the Pedernales called Thomas Ranch. The development also includes apartments, shops, entertainment venues and restaurants, town square and community gardens.

The developers are planning an open house at Spicewood Elementary School on Tuesday, March 21 at 7 p.m.
