Join Lake Travis Community Library for their Summer Reading Program Finale on Thursday, August 12 at 2 p.m. at TexARTS. 

The Official State Musician of Texas Sara Hickman will perform with the Family Time Rocks band.  Hickman is a pop children’s singer/songwriter based in Austin.  She has released more than 15 albums, including the hit song “I Couldn’t Help Myself.”  The Texas Commission on the Arts appointed Hickman the 2010 State Musician of Texas for the exceptional quality of her work and for her outstanding commitment to the arts in Texas.  Sara has toured with Billy Bragg, Nanci Griffith, the Decemberists, John Hiatt, and Lucinda Williams.  Hickman will perform with Jason Molin and Gray Parsons who make up the Family Time Rocks band, whose motto is “families that create together do great together.”
