As Commissioner Huber points out, many of our County roads are a challenge to navigate, especially for an inexperienced young driver. Teens are twice as likely to be killed in vehicle crashes. Graduates of the National Safety Council's "Alive at 25" 4.5 hour class have been shown to be 70% less likely to be involved in one of these crashes - as either a driver or passenger!
As a non-profit organization of law enforcement personnel, we strongly encourage parents to have their young drivers attend a class. Registration is available at www.texasaliveteam.org or call us at 854-LIVE (5483) to arrange classes for your school, church or other organization.
Many thanks to Commissioner Huber for addressing this serious issue and her commitment to protecting the residents of Pct. 3!
