P&Z Commission cold on condos
The Hanover Company's attempt to get Bee Cave P&Z to support a plan for "Bee Cave Crossing" - a 300+ multi family development for the land surrounding Bee Cave Baptist Church at the 71/620 intersection - did not go well on Tuesday January 15th.
The development of 200+ one bedroom and 120+ two bedroom condos/townhouses (for sale not rent) plus close to 25,000 square feet of retail in four story buildings met with negative response from several commissioners concerned with the aesthetics and traffic ramifications of this high density development.
A review of the materials submitted showed a comprehensive outline of the potential layout and facilities - much of which resembled existing local developments like the Falconhead Apartments.

The questions remains what the City can control on this heavily grandfathered property which is currently under foreclosure by the bank.
The developer is now reconsidering presenting to City Council later this month.
