Credit card hack at local restaurant costs over $50,000 so far
Police and Secret Service investigators believe a virus based hack that infected a computer at Flores Mexican Restaurand in Lakeway was transmitted to a credit card processing system. The card details that were then stolen were used to buy upwards of $50,000 of merchandise online involving multiple US States and parts of Asia.
No other local businesses appear to have been infected. Flores management report that the problem is 100% rectifed but thst their business is still down about 15%
