The Bee Cave Bee

The formation of the Lake Travis Fire Rescue (LTFR) Community Foundation has been announced this week. The mission of the Foundation is to provide non-essential funding to Travis County ESD No. 6 and to support and recognize our outstanding LTFR firefighters and staff.

The intent of the Foundation is for individuals (or local businesses) to affiliate with a circle organized around their closest fire station. There will be a governing Board made up of volunteer representatives elected from each of the five organized neighborhood circles. (See diagram attached)

There is a plan to schedule a casual get together where questions can be answered and neighbors will have the opportunity to meet and greet. Additionally, the LTFR Community Foundation is now set up to take donations through the Austin Community Foundation, a 501c(3), Non-Profit. So if you can help out with a donation and/or your time as a Foundation volunteer it would be much appreciated.
