Bee Cave P&Z Deputy Chair Michelle Bliss has announced her candidacy for City Council this May. Our sources tell us Bob Dorsett is not planning to stand again unlike Bill Goodwin and Jack McCool. If one more candidate stands there will be the first contested election for several years in Bee Cave.

Let's hope that someone who is qualified, honest and who has the best interest of the city will but their name in the hat.

**best interest and desire of the people that live in the city and not what is their agenda**

Hi, I wanted to take the opportunity to respond. Thank you Steve for posting this. I have 5 years of experience on the Uplands HOA board and almost 5 years of experience serving on the City of Bee Cave Planning and Zoning Commission. I have lived in the City of Bee Cave for almost 15 years. I feel now is the time for me to serve my community in a greater capacity. I have learned a lot in the 5 years on planning and zoning, I do my homework on each and every issue. I listen to what is presented at the meetings. I am running because I care about this community. There are several things that I have been working on while serving on Planning and Zoning that I want to continue to have input on. The things that I see in our immediate future that we need to focus on is the LTYA property off of highway 71, the property behind the Bee Cave Baptist church that will be developed soon and the potential of Car Dealerships coming to our city. These will be the main issues we will all face in the immediate future. Long term, I want to focus on keeping with the vision that our comprehensive plan has written out for us. Provide more connectivity throughout the city with pedestrian paths. I would love to see development that brings us together as a community and keeps the feel of Bee Cave that I think we are starting to lose. I also have twin 11 year old boys that I hope to make this a better place to live for them. The relationship between the school and the City is pivotal. I am excited about the potential of serving my community in this capacity. If you have any questions for me, I would be happy to address them. I have started a face book page called Bring Bliss to Bee Cave and you can ask me questions there. I will also be happy to speak by phone or in person.
