City Budget OK'd
On Tuesday night, Bee Cave City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to approve the city’s 2012-13 budget and property tax rate.
The property tax rate remains at 2 cents per $100 for the fifth consecutive year. City Administrator Frank Salvato said the proposed operating budget is $5.96 million for 2012-13. Bee Cave relies on sales taxes expected to reach $6.5 million in 2013, versus $185,432 in property taxes.
The budget approved covers previously discussed plans to hire a part-time library clerk, a librarian and a police sergeant as well as $41,303 for salary adjustments, mostly for the Police Department.
