Bee Cave City Court issues restraining order to Planet K

Amid claims of bias, Planet K has been issued with a temporary injunction by the City Court stopping work at the old Trading Post building on Highway 71.
Judge David Garza issued the order based on threats to public health and a risk of injury, although PLanet K contests they have never been given clear feedback on what is wrong with their permit applications. Planet K also claims Garza is acting as apaid employee of the City and is therefore biased.
At the core of the issue remains the City's publicly stated policy to not allow "Adult Novelty" stores in its Town Center zoning area, of which the Trading Post is clearly a part. Planet K is effectively being accused of not documenting is planned product offering correctly in its application.

Sooner or later the oppressed minorities and poor of the world will vigorously protest. It wont be good for the overlords and the Garza's of the world, as Rick Perry said, "we can get ugly down here." That sentiment fits both sides of the fence. Just sayin.............consider your actions. Let the free market decide if Planet K stays in business.

2011-08-21 18:01:51 | xray - CHANGE IS GOODMany years ago, a radiologist told me during my internship that when you are able to recognize normal anatomy - anything abnormal would just jump out at you.
What is allowing to take place in this town is abnormal and embarrassing.
I have both lived and traveled abroad extensively and am able to say with certainty that some 3rd world countries are far ahead of the mentality of some city of Bee Cave officials. Look at what is happening currently in Syria, Egypt and UK. People will not accept being oppressed any longer.
I'm surprised that residents of the city are allowing misconduct at all levels of government. They are running the town like Castro in Cuba and Chavez in Venezuela. The police department is no better either! Isn't the US a democracy? Aren't elected officials voted in by the people? If you do not want this to continue, do something about it. Laws, policies and procedures can me changed - this is not the Ten Commandments.
With the great influx of West and East coasters moving in, I believe that change will come soon enough they are not known for their tunnel vision!

Under the auspices of a progressive, green community lies attitudes that are positively archaic. Please! Get into 2011!
