Farmer's Market moves this weekend
Lone Star Farmer's Market makes its debut in Bee Cave this Sunday (March 3rd) near Lowes in the Shops at the Galleria. Moving from Lakeway Commons, the market will feature all the usual vendors every Sunday from 10 am until 2 pm. This Sunday, there will also be live music from local favorite JoAnna Lee Sousa.

IF only the Market would stay open until 3:00 each Sunday. They are currently open from 10:00-2:00. Those of us who have Sunday committments, ie, Church, classes, etc. who do not get 'free' until noon+ is very inconvenient. Getting there by/before 1:00, several booths were already 'SOLD' out, and then by the time we 'made the rounds', some booths were already packing up, taking 'stuff' to their cars and practically running over the public caring their 'stuff' to their vehicles. COULD/WOULD there be any discussion to the 'Powers to Be' of the Great Farmer's Market to be open until 3:00 each Sunday??
Being there from 1:00-2:00 last Sunday, being 'Dog Friendly' is the norm at most places, but with the great amount/volume of customers walking back/forth, we found ourselves having to stop every other step almost to let the dogs on leashes/owners stand in the middle of the 'row' and talk, we had to be careful not to trip on leaches which caught us btw the owner and the dog on same leash. The large amount of customers w/that many dogs (on leashes) made the 'rows' difficult to manuever, especially elder people trying to walk in/around, over and almost tripping on dogs/leashes. Otherwise the day was GREAT. We love pets, but not in that type setting of very busy, lots of foot traffic and the liability.
Just a suggestion or two. Maybe have the dog owners who must bring their dogs to have an alternate plan when stopping to talk to Friends, while the dogs 'stretch out' their leashes for accidents to happen AND for the Farmer's Market to stay open until 3:00 P.m. each Sunday. Booths should not begin shutting down/packing up before their designated closing time.
THANK YOU, whoever brought this Great Farmer's Market to Bee Cave and who will read/consider this.
