The new, old Backyard

The new owners of the "old" Backyard, led by Marc Ballouz, The Backyard Development LLC plan to develop the 1.7-acre site into offices and a restaurant.
Ballouz showed this week's City Council members with designs currently focused on two-story designs, possibly expanding to three stories later.
"We tried to keep the spirit of the old building," Ballouz said. "I bought it two weeks ago, and we're still cleaning." In one concept the 8,100-square-foot building would be converted to have large windows, stone pillars and a tower.
