The sign is up at Advanced Auto Parts store in the HEB strip on Highway 71 West. Company sources tell us we can expect an opeing at the end of September - currently the 30th.

Visible progress remains slow on the TxDOT project to widen Highway 71 to two lanes plus a turn ("chicken") lane from the Uplands to the Madrones.

Aline Hanle, a local lady from Lake Pointe, has written a book called "Heart for Humanity - Love without Boundaries". The book is in response to the devastating floods that hit Pakistan earlier this Summer.
